Chat problems

If you have any problems getting into the chat, here's where you can post the problem and I'll see if I can help you get into the chat area.

downloaded the java and it keeps telling me It can't find my handle in chat.  Logged in as 2hawks and it keeps saying it can't find   _2hawks,  underscore2hawks is not the way I signed up.

mine is the same except instead of invalid username it keeps saying connection timed out

I believe the IRC server doesn't like the username [~_2hawks].  I know it definitely doesn't like numbers before characters in usernames.  The chat button up top uses your forum nickname and tries to resolve some names.  It may not be working in this instance.  I will see if I can look into this further for you.

You might remain logged out on the forums and using "/nick twohawks" or something similar after you click the chat button and see if that works for you.  That is if you haven't resolved this already since it has been over a month.

I will need more info to help you further.  A connection issue could be caused by many things including a firewall amongst others.  If you could post some statistics about your PC such as Operating System, Browser, and 3rd Party firewall, it would help out in finding a solution.
